Texas Police Chiefs Association's Best Practices Recognition Program

After working through the process for two years, the department achieved its original accreditation in 2009. Because Addison has always been diligent in practicing industry standards and staying current with changes in law enforcement, in 2013 the Police Department completed the usual two-year review process in a record time of six months.
